How have these last three months gone by so FAST? And have I mentioned just how much I LOVE this little face.
They say that time flies when you are having fun, and we have had a blast. The baby girl who I always dreamed of, who we waited nine long (uncomfortable) months to meet, turns three months old today. She is the light and sunshine of our lives. She loves to goo and talk, and she will give you the biggest, ear to ear smile if you give her one first.
And little miss decided it was time to push up and see the world during "tummy time" on her three month birthday...
She is really holding her head steady these days. Bumbo time is when she really gets to feel like part of the crowd, sitting up, enjoying the conversation and people around her. She loves to look at the TV, fixating on whoever is talking and sometime she talks back to them. She loves watching her big brother play with toys and playdough.... and boy does he love her back. He calls her "Molleekee"... I guess it is a mesh of Molly and Caroline (and sometimes when he is very excited it comes out as "Kalleekee"), although he does say "Molly Car-line" in the sweetest two and half year old voice I have ever heard.
Yes, he loves this girl.
And as my last days of maternity leave are coming to an end, so do the last days of the sweet summertime that I have been so privileged to be able to spend with my babies. I will miss it so much!
We have had a great summer with some challenges here and there, thanks to the relaxed routine and addition of a new baby, but I wouldn't change any of it. I am especially grateful that I was able to host our annual girls/babies reunion with my three wonderful college girlfriends. It is so fantastic to be around amazing friends, who are also amazing mommies.
I love that no matter how long it has been, we all pick up right where we left off. Laughing, telling stories, sharing old memories, like no time has passed at all since those good old days at Florida Southern College... which by the way we did manage to take a self-guided tour of, since it has been voted most beautiful college campus, complete with all EIGHT children in tow, in the blistering heat... double strollers, baby bjorns, oh yeah, we were a spectacle! Totally worth it. And thank goodness for the new cyber cafe at the Roux Library which provided a perfect, air conditioned rest area to nurse babies and take a time out for drinks and snacks.
Goodbye Summer. Hello new and wonderful things to come.
We will be saying goodbye to Miss T.T., who has kept Conor since he was seven months old, this year. She is moving to Georgia with her husband who is being relocated for work. Conor and Molly will both be going to a new lady, Miss Mary, full time when I start back to work next week.
Best of luck in your new location! You will be greatly missed!
As summer fades away, I am starting to get the old nostalgic feeling of the seasonal shift. It is one of my favorites, summer to fall. Trading the salty, sunscreen smells and late hot nights, for promise of cooler weather and holiday traditions. An annual trip to the North Carolina mountains and visiting old friends in Raleigh. Autumn wreaths, fall colors and pumpkin spice smells filling the air. And a new baby girl who is about to experience it all for the very first time. Yes, exciting and wonderful times to come.
Peace out summer. See you next year.

Great post! Molly is looking so cute. I can't believe she's sitting in the bumbo already.
I love the picture of all the kids in their strollers standing on the ADPi diamond. Too bad the boys are totally hidden by their sisters. :)
Molly is getting so big, and prettier by the day.. I miss all of you and NEED to see my babies soon! xoxox
