We waited about an hour and a half in line to see the Easter bunny. Once it was finally our turn, Conor was thrilled and jumped right up in his lap. Molly, on the other hand was none too happy about the situation.
This is the best picture we got. They must have snapped this shot in the split second between scream and wail. Oh well, there's always next year. Dying eggs, egg hunts and honey baked ham tomorrow.
HAPPY EASTER!

A Partial Catch-Up
Ok, I'm back.
Lets start with this month and work backwards for this year, shall we.
(I will sneak back and pre-date some older posts later to fill in the rest of last year so when I look back over the years it looks like I kept up, shhh dont tell...)
March
Conor's first visit to the dentist.
I have to say, I put it off as long as I possibly could before scheduling this appointment. Partly because of my own personal childhood anxiety of trips to the dentist, partly because, in his earlier years, I thought there was no way this kid was gonna let anyone anywhere near his mouth, let alone actually touch and examine in there. So, at age four, I finally caved and made the appointment. Turns out he was a star patient, hugging the nurses, talking up a storm and letting Dr. Bopp take five x-rays and clean his teeth without a fuss. No cavities and perfectly formed and aligned adult teeth waiting above his adorable baby teeth. Whew.
Way to go little man!

Other fun spring happenings:
Downtown at the annual Spring Obsession Garden Festival... chasin' shadows
Ren's favorite festival and just in time for his birthday. Celebrated 31 years at the Texas Cattle Company with all of our favorite people. (3 of them pictured here):
She finally fits into the chucks I bought her before she was born.
Some new silver sparkle Toms for momma... I am hooked! And GREEN pancakes for breakfast on St. Patty's day... they are green I swear, look close.
Fashonitsa.
She like to pick her own accessories, dolly optional - don't question, just go with it.
And in an unseasonably late March cold snap what better to do than bundle up, tip over your little tykes car and make a fort. No girls allowed, of course.

and if she's not allowed, well then she will just make her own...
February
Main event: Jillian turns FOUR. Seriously, can we just stop time now, please.
How I love this sweet and sassy four year old. Oh and Molly's just chillin with the big kids, no big deal.
Waiting ever so patiently for his turn with the balloon lady.
Sassypants. I'm pretty sure neither of them were about to do whatever the person talking to them was asking them to do...
My pretty party girl.
I think I must be seriously obsessed with this headband because she has had it on in nearly every photo I've uploaded since the beginning of the year.
Love this morning view. Jammies & snuggles, nothing better.
There it is again...
"McDonald's Breakfast Pajama Party" (phrase: copyright Conor Caiden Nolte 2013)
And a day off in the middle of the week. Got to play stay at home mom, and me likey! The park is different on a Wednesday afternoon...
Note: any device which bears any resemblance to a phone, is, in fact, a phone.
Let's finish off with a ride on the merry-go-round after a LONG day at the Brandon Towncenter. Make is all worth while!
Not sure who she looks like... #iknowhashtagsmeannothingherebutdaddysgirl
And I come home from my weekly trip to Publix with Conor to find my husband, the one who NEVER wanted a girl, has painted her tiny toenails pink. Can you say "wrapped"?! Really, it melts me...
Wow, a lot more has happened in these last two months then I even remember. That is why I love this little blog. No matter if no one ever reads it, I can look back and relive these wonderful moments in time that I never want to forget.
It is late, and I am tired now, so I guess I will have to sneak January into a "pre-dated, looks like I was keeping up, but really I was faking it" post.
Good night!

January
I am pretty sure after this NYE that my kids would stay up all night long if I did not set a bed time. They are usually quite agreeable to their 8 o'clock bedtime with barely any fuss. But on New Years Eve, I let them stay up till 10:30 and they were still going strong... I thought for sure they would tire on their own. There energy level astounds me.
We got to ring in the new year at home, with yummy food, sparklers and of course noise makers. So happy to spend it with our wonderful friends, Natalie, Seth, AJ and Jaxon along with Aunt Jenna, Uncle Jason, Jillian and baby Jocie.
Other than that, January was a pretty chill month. Lots of jammie playtime, blocks and feeding baby dolls Cheerios and yogurt at breakfast. You know, the usual.
He was actually singing "Under the Sea" when I snuck around the corner and snapped this shot...
Molly on Minnie.
Her new Minnie Mouse four wheeler. Backwards, forwards, whatever...
And my new ombre hairstyle. I know, it doesn't look like much, but the most drastic color experiment I have tried to date. Dark at the roots, blonde at the bottom. I think it's growing on me.... more blonde next time.
