Another year over, a new one just begun...

Out with the old and in with the new. 2011 was a roller coaster year. It flew by. We welcomed a new girl and said goodbye to an old. There was joy and tears and lots of laughter. The celebration of Christmas is always my favorite time of year. The weather is cool (ok, maybe not always here in Central Florida, but at least in my mind it is cool), the smell of fresh pine fills our home, cookies are baked, Christmas tunes fill the air, lights are strung and we sink into that comfortable place of  another year over and a new one just begun...

Here are some highlights from our special season:

By far, our best Christmas tree to date.

Train ride to the North Pole

Roasting s'mores at the North Cole ... as Conor calls it :)

Molly and Daddy on the caboose

Silly Clifford broke into the cupboard and was drinking the syrup through a straw!!
Christmas Eve - Sprinkling Reindeer food in the front yard

And off to Munn Park to look at the lights... its tradition

Christmas Morning. Mimosas, Yummy Baked French Toast and WAY TOO MANY Presents. Yup life is good.

 Train table from Santa

And my new favorite toy... the Nikon 1. Some of my favorite shots so far:

We rang in the the New Year with great friends and an impromptu fireworks session...

Uncle Seth showing AJ and Conman HIS new Christmas toy. A remote control helicopter. Way cool.

Conor, Jess & Penn peering... the boys were a bit terrified of the fireworks in the beginning...
Molly watching the fireworks. You can't phase this one...
Happy New Year! Lots of wonderful times ahead, I just know it!
